It's simple - just use our Room Planner to size and place furniture and accessories, as well as determine the amount of paint, wallpaper or floor covering to buy. To help expedite your move-in day print out a copy and give it to your movers. To begin home planning, click on "Pick a Room" and select a room from the pull-down menu. Once the room has been selected, the appropriate icons for furniture will appear. Name the selected room (i.e., "Dylan's Room") by selecting the "Name Your Room" button. Rooms are set at a default size of 30 feet wide by 25 feet deep. Enter the actual dimensions of your room in "Room Size: Width/Depth/Height" (blue bar). To add furniture click on the associated icon. Clicking on any piece of furniture will display its dimensions. After selecting an object, you can resize or rotate it using the tools in the "ITEM" box. To position each object in the room, use the arrow keys on your keyboard or manually click and drag the item into place. To delete an item, select the object and choose "Delete This Item." To clear all furniture click on the "Reset" button in the "ROOM" box. Clicking on the "Delete" button will delete the entire room. To add common items to your room click on the "Add" button in the "Pick an Object" bar. Common items include electrical outlets, cable connections, telephone jacks, floor lamps, plants, fireplaces, doors, closets, etc. Paint, carpeting, and wallpaper can be added by dragging the associated icon into the specified room. After the room has been named and saved, you will be able to determine the amount of materials needed by clicking on the "Calculate Results" button.
